• All seats are unassigned, and saving seats is not permitted.  Doors will open 1 hour before the curtain.

 Dress Rehearsals @ Chelsea High School 

This will be a closed dress rehearsal to ensure instructors have optimal time and attention with students to prepare for a stunning recital the next day. 

•  May 12th @ 4:00pm
• See the rehearsal schedule online or at the front desk for your child’s specific performance times.  
• Please have your performer ready (dressed and in full makeup and hair) by their scheduled rehearsal time.
• This is a mandatory practice where the performers get a chance to practice in full costume, hair, & makeup on stage.
• Parents will be responsible for their dancers at this recital (there are no volunteers in the dressing room)
  • Getting them ready for each dance
    • Hair
    • Makeup 
    • Costume 
    • Shoes 
    • Ect.
  • Having student backstage 6 dances prior to their performance 
  • Students can watch dances in the audience if the schedule allows 
• Dressing rooms will be available for those dancers that need to change costumes.

Recital Makeup

• Makeup is recommended for all performers, as the harsh stage lights can make the performers look “washed out.” 

when on stage.  However, makeup is not mandatory for dancers under the age of 7.

• Suggested Stage makeup: brown eyeshadow, black mascara, black eyeliner, wine/dark red lipstick, and pink 

blush/bronzer.

• Competition Crew members should wear their crew makeup.

Recital Hair

• Pre-Dance & Tutu Dance :  Half up, half down
• All other classes:  Middle part, bun at  ear  level.  
• If a student’s hair is too short to be pulled into a bun, please pull any hair up and off the face!
• Please be sure to bobby pin ALL headpieces securely

Costume & Stage Etiquette

• Jewelry, colored nail polish, gum, and visible undergarments are not permitted on stage.
• Please see the costume sheet posted at the studio and online for information on shoes, tights, and accessories.
• Label everything!  Many performers will have the same costume/shoes/tights/etc. and it’s easy to get things 

mixed up!

 
Dressing Rooms & Backstage

• Please bring a water bottle and non-messy snacks.

Recital Day

• All students must show up 45 min prior to the start of the show.
• All students are expected to arrive in full hair and makeup unless otherwise notified.

Grand Finale

• All performers are invited to participate in our end-of-the-show finale in which all dancers will take their final bow on stage!
• Everyone will be released after final bow
